Cosmetic Product Development for Beginners is an introductory educational class designed to help students understand the fundamental principles of developing cosmetic products, from the initial product concept to ingredient selection, formulation basics, packaging considerations, and product presentation. This class introduces the essential knowledge needed to explore the cosmetic product development process while emphasizing ingredient awareness, product quality, safety considerations, and responsible formulation practices.
The class is divided into two learning sections. Part 1 consists of a one-hour live virtual stream session featuring instructor-led theory, guided discussion, and a question-and-answer segment. Students will explore the foundational concepts of cosmetic product development, learn about the stages involved in bringing a product idea to life, and have an opportunity to ask questions directly to the instructor.
Part 2 consists of an online learning experience through the student’s Peach Academy account. Students will log in and complete four course modules designed to expand their understanding of cosmetic ingredients, formulation principles, product development procedures, packaging, labeling, and quality considerations. Students can review the educational materials at their own pace and reinforce the concepts introduced during the live virtual session.
By combining live instruction with independent online learning, this class provides a structured introduction to cosmetic product development for beginners interested in beauty products, personal care formulations, entrepreneurship, or further cosmetic science education.
