How Cosmetic Formulators Think: A Beginner’s Guide is an introductory educational class designed to help students understand how cosmetic formulators approach the development of skincare, beauty, and personal care products. Students will learn to think beyond simply mixing ingredients and begin understanding the reasoning behind ingredient selection, formulation goals, product structure, ingredient compatibility, stability, safety, and performance.
This class is divided into two learning sections. Part 1 is a one-hour live virtual streaming session that introduces the fundamental theories and thought processes behind cosmetic formulation, with an opportunity to ask questions and receive clarification. Part 2 is a self-paced online learning experience in which students log into their Peach Academy student account and complete four course modules to reinforce and expand upon the concepts introduced during the live session.
By combining live instruction with structured online learning, students will develop a stronger foundation for understanding how cosmetic products are planned, formulated, evaluated, and improved. This beginner-friendly class is ideal for aspiring cosmetic formulators, skincare entrepreneurs, beauty professionals, and anyone interested in learning the science and strategy behind cosmetic product development.
